The Hudson Valley had such a mild winter, it's hard to believe that spring is here.  Herring Sanitation enjoyed the quick winter. Our customers are now abuzz getting their tanks pumped so they can cover up that "spot" on the lawn where the dirt gets removed as they expose their septic lids. Then they'll be ready for summer.  Remember the recommended Pumping Schedule is every 2 to 3 years for an average family of four.  Pumping your tank should be like changing the oil in your car. It is a maintenance item.  It is NOT a wait for symptoms or problems item.

So mark your calendar and put it out of your mind.  If Herring has serviced you last time, you will get a reminder in the mail telling you that it has been two years. Enjoy this great Spring weather.
